Rainy Day Butterfly Craft

Coffee filters, markers and a spray bottle turn into bright butterflies in about 20 minutes.

This is one of our favorite rainy-day crafts because it's mostly mess-free and every butterfly turns out different.

You'll need

  • Round coffee filters
  • Washable markers
  • A spray bottle of water
  • Clothespins or pipe cleaners

Steps

  1. Color all over the coffee filter.
  2. Mist it lightly with water and watch the colors spread.
  3. Let it dry, then pinch the middle into a clothespin.
